Vidyamoyee Govt. Girls' High School is one the famous and historical educational institute at the Mymensingh District in Bangladesh. The School was founded by Jagatkishore Acharya Chowdhury, the son of Vidyamoyee Devvya in 1873 during the British Raj, as a gesture of love for his mother. The school was housed in a red two-storied building on 3.5731 acres (14,460 m2) of land in the centre of Mymensingh town. The school was nationalised in 1912.
Vidyamoyee Govt. Girls' High School has attractive infrastructure and adequate classrooms to teaching. The school has completed registered in the Dhaka Education Board and its registration no is EIIN: 111842. Approximately 1350 students are learning in the institute under supervision 56 skilled teachers and staffs. The school runs two shifts- morning and day. The school has a library with over 5,000 books with some rare collections. It is a multicultural institution comprised over thousand more students representing over various ethnic groups along with Bengali. This institute has started with slogan “Education Power Discipline Progress”.

The Institute has been playing an amazing role in advancing the educational and cultural sector of the district.
