Satkhira Govt High School is one of the oldest and prominent educational institute in the District. This institute was founded in 1962 with intervention of few renown personalities. School has a brilliant alumni association.
Satkhira Govt High School was established on 9 acres 57 cent land. Among them the founding editor Mr. Md. Solaiman donated 6 per cent, member Mr. Ahmed Mia donated 2 bighas, the remaining 8 acres 2 per cent land was acquired from a few local resident . One hundred and fifteen) at the request of the President Mr. AKN Siddique Ullah Mr. Abdul Gafur M.N. A (Batkekhali) paid as a donation from personal funds.
