Requirement for the German visa in Dhaka

Document mandatory for German tourist visa for Bangladeshi citizen.

Embassy of Germany in Dhaka has asked for following documents for tourist from the application. If you want to visit Germany, you should arrange bellow mentioned documents before your visa application.

1. Fully completed application form in English or German and signed and dated by the applicant (signed by the legal guardian in case of minors, below the age of 18)
2. Declaration of Consent
3. Invitation letter from Germany.
4. Validity Passport (minimum three months from the date of expiry of the requested visa).
5. Valid Bangladesh residence permit for non-Bangladeshi applicants (valid at least three months from the date of expiry of the requested visa
6. Two recent biometric passport-sized photographs (3.5x4.5cm) (Should not be older than 6 months.
7. Overseas medical insurance.
8. Flight and hotel reservation:
9. Personal covering letter explaining the purpose of your visit and who will bear the travel cost.
10. Tour Plan lining out the entire intended itinerary/activities in the Schengen area.
11. Letter from local employer including name, postal address and telephone number of sponsor/company, with details regarding applicant’s working position, starting date of employment, salary and timeframe of work leave (expected date to resume duties) and purpose of travel. (If employed by a company in Bangladesh).
12. Proof of financial means of the applicant in Bangladesh, e.g. personal bank statements of at least the last 6 months before application, personal property, assets, others.
13. Marriage Certificate – if married (also “Nikah Nama” both in Bangla and English, for Muslim marriage in A4 size Photocopy).
14. Divorce certificate (“Talak Nama”) – if divorced.
15. Death Certificate – in case you are a widow or widower.
16. Birth Certificate of your children – if you have children.
17. Passport copy of pages containing personal data.
18. Copy of valid Bangladesh residence permit.
19. Copies of previous Schengen, US, Canada or UK visa, if applicable.
